A STORY WORTH TELLING

The first mobile app for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This curiously provocative, yet functional app elevated the guest experience and delivered unique opportunities to create stories worth telling.

THE CHALLENGE

With guest expectations at an all time high and the competition for customers fiercer than ever, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas needed a way to stand out from the crowd.

THE APPROACH

No one likes waiting in lines—especially in Las Vegas. That’s why we started by allowing guests to check-in right from their mobile phone before they arrived. With their keycard already waiting, they were able to simply drop off their bags and skip right to the fun. Guests were able to use real-time group conversation to coordinate a night out with friends and use “Storyline”— a one-of-a kind mobile feature to capture memorable photos and texts. With a single tap, they were able to share their story on social channels, creating envy for those back home. From beginning to end, our app delivered an experience as unique as the property itself and left every guest with a story worth telling.

  •   It wouldn’t be an app for The Cosmopolitan without a certain level of intrigue. That’s why we created a fully custom home screen interface that grabs people’s attention. When the user touches the screen, the app touches you back.
  • A mobile check-in feature allows guests to check in before they arrive. When they are ready to leave, room charges show up right on their phone allowing them to check out with a single tap.
  • Now everyone can tell their version of what really happened in Vegas. With “Storyline”, an in-app social sharing feature, friends can use photos and text to create a group timeline of their stay— all while sharing every moment on Facebook and Twitter for those back home.
Social Club logo

The Social Club at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is classic 1920 fused, morphed and re-mixed with 2020. It toys with our expectations of timeless classics.

Jo Baker 1

Upon arrival to Las Vegas people are greeted by life size holograms of Josephine Baker created from vintage footage. The accompanying music is a mashup of a 20’s standard remixed with a modern track.

People also have the ability to control the music she dances to in real-time by downloading The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas app.

House Car

The 1920 meets 2020 theme extends with the club’s house car. A conversation starter for those who spot it driving along the strip.
